Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana has announced a new program that’s sure to help its prostate cancer clients feel more comfortable.
The recovery process for many prostate cancer patients can be stressful and often very uncomfortable one. But one patient’s search to discover relief may be the solution that many others could benefit from and that’s why Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana has decided to help spread the word about “snap pants.”
The patient discovered that when dealing with a catheter many garments just wont work, but discovered that men’s athletic “snap pants” could easily accommodate the apparatuses.
Cancer Services took his discovery and is now offering the garments at no cost to other patients who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, live within the 11 Indiana counties that Cancer Services serves, and will undergo surgical treatment.
Cancer Services asks that prospective patients meet briefly with a Client Advocate to learn about the other programs being offered and says walk-ins are always welcome.
The garments are a gift and available in royal blue in various sizes, limit one item per patient.
