Charlie Hunnam Will Not Be At Cyclefest This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- There seems to be a lot of confusion cycling around Cyclefest. The show, which is scheduled for this weekend at the Coliseum, originally promoted the fact that Charlie Hunnam, Jax from Sons of Anarchy, was going to be on-site for a meet-and-greet with fans.

Well it appears that this isn't the case. Charlie Hunnam issued a statement via Tina Lou, who allegedly manages his Facebook fan page, that says he was never booked for the event.

"Please make it clear that there will be no reschedule, I was never doing this event. And that I am so sorry that these people used me to take advantage of my fans," Charlie said via the statement. "I care about my fans enormously and am going to take action to make sure this type of thing never happens again. Just to be clear, I am not scheduled to make any appearances at this time so anyone claiming otherwise is lying"

On the Cyclefest website there is a note that "Charlie 'Jax' Hunnam had to cancel as of Wednesday night".

Friday morning Cyclefest posted on it's Facebook page that "we are truly sorry that Charlie has cancelled Ft. Wayne and Dayton shows. Everyone who purchased tickets will receive a FULL REFUND in a timely manner."

There must have also been some rumors that Theo Rossi was going to be appearing in place of Charlie. But according to Theo Rossi's official twitter page, he will not be anywhere by HOME this weekend.

According to the Charlie Hunnam Facebook page, Charlie will sign personalized pictures for people that Tina Lou picks from the page.

Jeremy Valentine appeared on INsight earlier this week to promote the show and that Charlie Hunnam would appear. Jeremy told 21Alive that he was asked to promote Charlie's appearance by the show organizers.

Chad Mullins is listed as the contact for Cyclefest Shows on Facebook and Jeremy said Chad told him that they had a contract with Charlie. Jeremy also told 21Alive that the show promoters had printed t-shirts with Charlie's picture on them and have always delivered on the booked appearances over the last several years that he has worked with them.
