FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter)--The Allen County coroner has identified a man found dead this morning in a garage on Poinsette Drive.

The coroner says 48 year old Timothy D. Perkins died of blunt force trauma to the head. 22 year old Brandon Baker of Fort Wayne has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery and burglary.

Police discovered the crime just before 3:30 this morning when officers answered a call at 1241 West Main Street, where residents said a man they did not know was banging on their front door.

The man told officers he’d just seen someone killed at 2703 Poinsette Drive. He took officers to the garage at that address where Timothy Perkins’ body was discovered. He was later released from police custody.
