MUNCIE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A bill proposed at the General Assembly could allow college students across Indiana to carry guns on campus.
State Sen. Jim Banks, R-Columbia City, proposed the bill.
School groups are forming groups that support the measure. One group gaining traction is at Ball State University.
"In the event a tragedy occurs," Ball State student Damon Cox says, "I believe, and many other students believe, that we should have the right to defend ourselves by any means necessary."
Cox, who has a valid license to carry a gun in Indiana says the inability for him to carry a gun to class violates his constitutional rights.
