FORT WAYNE, Ind (21Alive) -- Deadrian Boykins has been given 20 additional years in prison for his beating of an Allen County Jail Confinement Officer.

Boykins was already serving 71-year sentence for murder and robbery when he attacked officer Quenton Greer while confined at the Allen County Jail. Boykins was convicted for aggravated battery due to the attack and today received an additional 20 years on top of the 71 he is already serving.

Boykins continuously caused distractions during the proceedings, causing Judge Gull to tell Boykins that "unless he changes his behavior, he will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars."

He was also ordered to pay $39,000 in restitution.
