FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne has some wonderful treasures and things to do and Thursday morning, two local young people were honored for their efforts to highlight them.

Damon Dominique and Khin Phyu made 20-short videos of area attractions as part of the "Discover Fort Wayne" project and uploaded them to YouTube.

The college students say they wanted to feature Fort Wayne because they take pride in their hometown.

They featured things like the downtown library, the botanical conservatory, the zoo, kayaking on the rivers and the Barr Street Market.

Discover Fort Wayne Videographer Damon Dominique says, “Khin and I started making these videos, one, because it was fun, and two because we know Fort Wayne is a fun place to live and we want to show other people our point of view. Making these videos isn't about us just getting out and exploring the city, it's about other people getting out and seeing the city as well."

They encourage you to shoot your own video of things to do in Fort Wayne and post it to YouTube, as well.
