Ducklings Rescued from Storm Drain

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The duties for Fort Wayne firefighters are many. They not only extinguish flames and offer medical assistance when needed. They also rescue not only people but the occasional duckling.

Nine-little ducklings were stuck in a storm drain on Maysville Road Tuesday and had to be rescued.

We’re happy to report all nine were rescued without injury, but their mother was no where to be found.

They were released in a near-by pond.
