Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Their stories bring tears to your eyes but then that's kind of the point at the annual Riley Hospital for Children luncheon held at Sweetwater Sound.
Katie Law shared the story of her now two-and-a-half-year-old son, Graham.
Graham was born with his liver outside his body, had multiple surgeries, then collapsed lungs and signs of heart failure. But doctors at Riley were able to revive him, putting him on a miraculous path of recovery.
Riley Family, Bill and Katie Law says, “So, I mean in a way because we went through this, it was tough. It was difficult. It was trying times, but we're basically blessed because we've been a part of something so special. Absolutely, Graham is part of an elite group of millions of children that inspire us every day. He's a Riley kid and he always will be.”
Every year, children from all 92 counties turn to Riley Hospital for Children for care and are treated, regardless of ability to pay.
