Albion, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Animals at the Black Pine Animal Sanctuary got a little Christmas celebration of their own Saturday.
Black Pne is home to 95 displaced, captive-raised animals like tigers, lions, bears and other exotic animals.
The public was invited to the sanctuary to observe the animals and watch them open presents from the staff.
The staff has been preparing for weeks for the event.
"They prepare pinatas to put meat in and toys and treats for the animals. And donations come in at this time of the year for them as well," said Lori Gagen, executive director, Black Pine.
All proceeds of this winter-time event help fund the ongoing care of the animals that will live at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives.
