AUBURN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Auburn Car Auction begins Thursday for those looking for something a little more “classic” for the holiday weekend.
There's some road construction at the exit for the auction park you should know about.
Because of bridge work at exit-126, I-69 is down to one lane in each direction and the speed is reduced to 45-miles-per-hour.
So state and local police will be directing auction traffic into parking lots to keep cars from backing up on the interstate.
Indiana State Police Sergeant Ron Galaviz says, “We're going to try to run three to four lanes off the interstate into the park area. Again to try to alleviate that backed up traffic on the side of the road on the interstate. So the quicker we can get people in the less backup where going to have and the less chance of people having rear end crashes.
Sergeant Galaviz says if you're traveling to the auction park, bring some patience because they're expecting backups getting into the parking areas during the busy times.
