Huntington, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A good cause is keeping the memory of a son alive and you can help!
Shelly Septer started Backpacks of Hope after finding out her son Zachary was helping many homeless people in Fort Wayne.
His family didn't realize how big an impact he was making until his unexpected death when more than a thousand people attended his viewing.
The family decided they needed to continue his work, helping people in need.
They are collecting backpacks and items to fill them this weekend and will be handing them out to anyone in need later this month.
Items will be collected from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission on Saturday.
The goal is to hand out at least 200 backpacks on December 20th at the Rescue Mission filled with blankets, personal hygiene items and other things.
