Fort Wayne, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter) – The wife and initial survivor from the fatal crash at Taylor and Fairfield has died from the injuries she sustained in the accident.
Police say it was about 9:15 am Tuesday when a pick-up truck ran a red light at the intersection and t-boned a van.
They say the driver of the van, 79-year-old Harold Bebout of Fort Wayne, died at the scene. Bebout's wife, 74-year-old Starr, was taken to the hospital in serious condition but died over the weekend.
Police say the driver of the pick-up truck was 50-year-old Corina Hurtado and had an odor of alcohol on her. Test results for Hurtado's blood alcohol levels came back with a 0.17. Cocaine was also found in her system.
Hurtado was hospitalized in serious condition and faces operating while intoxicated charges.
The accident remains under investigation.
