CLAY TOWNSHIP, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Firefighters near South Bend made a video about the potential danger of lighting personal fireworks.
In the video, Clay Fire Territory Marshal Dave Cherrone lights a fountain-like firework to show the rapid pace with which a fire can spread from a small scale firework.

With some of the viewing area in severe drought and others in extreme drought, burn bans remain intact throughout the region. In Allen County, the ban includes fireworks and residents who light them could be subject to fines, criminal mischief charges or even felony charges if personal fireworks cause damage to another’s property.
