FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A $10 million project to revamp a Fort Wayne neighborhood is almost complete. Saturday developers held an open house in the Renaissance Pointe neighborhood.

The company, BIGG Property Management, is building more than 60 new homes there. Saturday two were available for the public to walk through.

The company is providing a rent-to-own program for these homes. They hope to attract buyers who are renting, and can't yet afford a traditional mortgage.

"Right now they're in homes that don't even have working plumbing, the electrical appliances aren't working. So to have them a brand new home to rent and build their credit is just an excellent venue for the whole city of Fort Wayne," said Jessica Baker, BIGGS Property Management.

Two additional homes will be complete and ready to move into by the end of this month. The company says by the end of March they plan to have another 8 homes ready.
