FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Emergency crews rushed to a house on the northeast side of town as flames poured out of the residence causing substantial damage.

Initial reports came in just before 9:30 Wednesday morning as fire personnel responded to the incident at 7201 Miahqueah Ct. A 10-year-old boy and two teenage girls were inside the home, at the time the fire broke out, but 21Alive has been told they escaped the home safely.

The boy, inside the home, says he noticed the fire while he was playing video games and alerted his cousins, allowing them to get out before the fire got out of control. No injuries have been reported.
