Flock of Birds Cause Damage to Delta Plane

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Delta Airlines plane landed safely in Little Rock after hitting a flock of birds.

This photo shows the damage to the plane after hitting the birds as it was approaching Little Rock International Airport Friday afternoon.

Flight 5087 was flying from Atlanta to Little Rock when it hit the birds about 20 miles from the airport.

The pilots were able to safely land the plane and nobody on board was injured.

The plane's next scheduled flight had to be cancelled. Delta officials will be examining the plane.
