Flooding Evacuations In Huntington

HUNTINGTON, Ind (21Alive) -- Flooding problems have caused a number of homes in Huntington County to be evacuated according to Homeland Security Emergency Management.

Reports are putting the number of homes evacuated around 20 to 40 and gas and power has been shut off from 1515 East State St. to Lindley.

The following roads are closed due to flooding:

-Roads closed from Condit to Brawley on State St.

-Lindley St. and Swan St. closed from State to Kocher

-Grayston and Jackson are closed from Superior to State.

Homeland Security Emergency Management is advising people to avoid these areas and any residents who notice rising water should report it to dispatch immediately.
