Flu Virus Still Infecting People (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Even though Thursday is the first day of spring, influenza is still infecting patients in our area.

The flu is commonly considered a winter virus, but actually that's just when it's most prevalent, since influenza can strike year ‘round.

The reason doctors and health administrators push for you to get a flu shot in the early fall is to help contain any outbreaks.
