Former Marshmallow Festival Chairperson Charged With Theft And Fraud

Noble County, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Criminal charges have been filed in Noble County against 42-year-old Tamara L. Deel of Ligonier.

According to the prosecutor Deel is charged with two counts of theft and one count of fraud.

She allegedly stole more than $100,000 from a Ligonier business where she was once employed and also from funds of the Ligonier Marshmallow Festival where she was a chairperson on the committee.

Deel's next court date is set for Wednesday at 1pm.
