Fort Wayne City Pools to Close Over the Next Few Weeks

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The school year is rapidly approaching which means city pools will begin the process of closing over the next few weeks.

The Fort Wayne Parks Department has announced that Memorial Park Pool will close for the season at 5 p.m. August 5. Northside Pool will close August 12th at 5 p.m. and McMillen Pool will close August 12th at 7 p.m.

Memorial Pool season tickets will be honored at McMillen and Northside Pools through August 12th, 2012.

If you’d still like a place to splash around at the following splash pads will remain open, 9 am – 9 pm, until further notice:

Buckner Park

McCormick Park
2300 Raymond & Holly

Memorial Park
2301 Maumee & Glasgow

Robert E. Meyers Park (When Parkview Field doesn’t have a scheduled event.)
Inside North Gate of Parkview
Field on Jefferson Blvd.

Shoaff Park
6401 St. Joe Rd.

Kreager Park (Taylor’s Dream)
7225 North River Road

Waynedale Park
2900 Koons & Elzey
