FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Fort Wayne fire investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a fire inside the Omni Source building on the 2500 Block of Taylor Street early Thursday.

They were called at around 12:10a.m. to the facility after reports of a smoke alarm being triggered. When they arrived, fire personnel could see the building had been filled with smoke. All Omni Source employees had safely evacuated the building.

Fire crews then took aim at the blaze, which they were able to put under control within 40 minutes. No one was hurt in the incident.
