Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Fort Wayne Rescue Ministries is getting a boost from the Apartment Association of Fort Wayne.

The association held a breakfast Tuesday morning to tell its members that this year, its fundraising efforts will be donated to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission and its other facilities for homeless people.

The move comes as the Rescue Ministries are re-branding in order to give people a better sense of how they help individuals get back on their feet.

“We have Charis House for women and children, we have Life House which feeds the community 365 days a year, 3 meals a day,” Andrea Hatfield said. “We have Restoration House, which is the facility for the men that are going through our program. And then we have Treasure House, which is our thrift store located downtown off Lafayette.”

The Apartment Association holds fundraisers year round, and will give all of this year’s profits to these programs.
