FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Wednesday for the grand opening of the new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in downtown Fort Wayne.

The hotel, which includes a Champions sports bar, is located next to Parkview Field, across from the Grand Wayne Center and Embassy Theatre.

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry says this is important because groups like the 'Association of Cities and Towns' are looking forward to staying there.

The mayor says he and his wife have requested to be two of the first people to stay at the new hotel and they will do just that.
