Fountains In Indianapolis Are Shut Off to Conserve Water

Indianapolis (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Indiana War Memorial Fountain in downtown Indianapolis is not running on Friday in a move to conserve water.

In fact, across the city, all water fountains are idle.

While the water in the fountains is recirculated, more has to be added periodically because of evaporation. Therefore, the city joined the effort to conserve water by shutting off all of the fountains.
