DETROIT (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Big Three Automaker, GM, is cutting a layer from its management staff.

GM announced it will be eliminating about 20 executive jobs as it streamlines its vehicle development program.

No one will be fired, since the jobs will be cut through retirements and employee reassignment.

Our partner in news, the Journal Gazette, quotes a source at the Fort Wayne GM Assembly Plant as saying the move will "cut complexity and make one person accountable for developing vehicles."
