Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A new addition to the community is getting some praise from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The new General Mills Customer Service Center has been awarded LEED Gold Certification.
The company opened the building Wednesday and it is the largest warehouse and distribution center in the country to gain the certification.
Some of the steps, the company did took to get the award, include a roof that reflects sun light, low flow plumbing and energy efficient lights and appliances.
Despite the celebration, our crew was not allowed inside.
