BLUFFTON, Ind. (21Alive) -- This week we are checking in on "The Gift Of Hope Happens Here" campaign, a donation project for Riley Hospital for Children.

Some middle school students at Bluffton-Harrison have a lot to be proud of. Later this month, they're holding several events during their annual week of raising money for Riley. It always ends with a talent show.

This year is a major milestone, as this year's donations are added to previous year's, passing the $100,000 mark.

The man who organizes it all says he's filled with pride.

"They should be very thankful for what they have. And if they ever have the ability to think not about me, but about someone else and do something that impacts someone else's life, then that the greatest gift you can give," Rick Mettler said.

The Bluffton-Harrison district is a Riley Miracle Corporation.

21Alive is a proud television station partner with the hospital.
