DECATUR, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Governor Mike Pence is holding out hope that his plan to lower Hoosiers' income taxes by 10% will survive this session of the General Assembly.

Speaking to the Decatur Rotary Club Thursday, Pence said "job creation is job one."

I have every confidence, as the leaders of the General Assembly have told me, that income tax relief is still under active consideration. And as the budget process moves forward, toward the end of this session in April, I have, I am hopeful that that we'll be able to move tax relief for every Hoosier forward this year, because I believe it'll mean jobs in the city and on the farm," Pence said.

Pence said 92% of Indiana's small businesses file taxes as individuals, meaning they would get the tax break, and in turn, could hire more people.
