Groundbreaking For Downtown Roundabout Project (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- It's official. Groundbreaking took place this morning for the new roundabout being built in downtown Fort Wayne.

The new roundabout will being going in at Fairfield, Ewing, Wells, and Superior downtown. Construction crews will now begin turning Ewing Street and Fairfield Ave. into two-way streets and add bike lanes. Those two streets will then merge at Superior St., where a roundabout will be built to ease congestion.

Nearly $4 Million of Legacy Fund money is being used on the project.
