Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Police are investigating a home invasion that also resulted in a shooting on the city’s south side.

Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Fort Wayne Police were called to a home in the 4000 bock of S. Clinton St. with reports of shots fired at a home invasion.

Investigators report that two male black subjects broke into the home and beat the homeowner’s boyfriend over the head before shooting him in his buttocks.

The man was taken to a local hospital in serious condition for treatment.

Both suspects are described as being either in their late teens or early 20s, with short black hair. Each suspect was armed with a weapon at the time of the incident.

The first suspect which was armed with a small black handgun is believed to be 5’8” and 145 lbs was seen wearing a black leather sleeveless vest with a full black ski mask with a black knit style hat.

The second suspect was armed with a black shotgun and is believed to be 6’1” and 165 lbs and was seen wearing an unknown style shirt with tan pants and a red hat that he used to cover the bottom half of his face.
