Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A local man calls it quits after trying to break the world record for bell ringing for the Salvation Army.
Tuesday afternoon, 21-year-old Steve Batzka began his quest along with eight other bell ringers across the country. But after 36 hours, he called it off around one, Thursday morning.
The record, 60 hours.
Salvation Army leaders say they appreciate Batzka's work because he helped bring awareness and much-needed funds during the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
