Indiana (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - It's a top ten list that the state of Indiana isn't proud of making, the Hoosier state now the 8th worst state in the country for adult obesity rates.

Indiana was 15th last year, but new CDC numbers led to Indiana's current ranking.

Indiana and South Carolina are tied with an adult obesity rate of 30.8 percent.

Indiana's ranking was even worse in 1995, but health experts say the new numbers mirror a growing nationwide problem in obesity.

Health networks, like Lutheran, have established numerous programs to help fight obesity.

Ohio didn't fare much better than Indiana, ranking 13th worst for adult obesity.
