Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Oasis Radio Group station, Clickhop.com has offered jobs to all the former staff members of the recently closed Fort Wayne Hooters Restaurant.
Any of the 40 former Hooters employees recently fired now have the chance to become radio hosts on Clickhop.com, should they wish to pursue the opportunity.
Upon learning about the plight of the Hooters staff, Clickhop.com Content Director, Colin Shaughnessy, decided to create an evening radio program to be hosted by former Hooters employees interested in beginning new careers in broadcasting. Shaughnessy says he and the Clickhop.com staff were saddened to hear about the closing of a Fort Wayne business and disheartened to see so many local people suddenly put out of work. “Everyone knows that all Hooters need support in order to be successful. The bigger the Hooters, the more support required,” said Shaughnessy. He went on to explain why he thinks the former Hooters employees are a good fit for Clickhop.com, “I’ve always found the staff at Hooters to be professional, fun-but-firm, and very hard-working. It only seems right to reach out to the people of Hooters and offer them a helping hand.”
The name of the new former Hooters staff radio show will be determined by audience vote on Clickhop.com. Beginning on Wednesday, May 30th, 2012, the new program will air Monday through Friday from 8pm to 10pm, broadcasting locally on 106.3 FM and worldwide at www.clickhop.com
