Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne police had a busy night Monday, responding to a late night domestic disturbance complaint that escalated into a hostage situation.

Police were originally called about a report of domestic battery at the Burger King on Spy Run at around 9 p.m.

But by the time officers got there the victim and suspect had already left.

Witnesses tipped police that they were headed to an apartment at the corner of Clinton and State.

And when crews arrived the suspect had apparently barricaded himself and the victim inside.

Emergency Service and Crisis-Response teams were sent to the scene and police blocked-off traffic on northbound Spy Run and southbound Clinton Street .

Just as the stand-off went into its 3rd hour, 2 unnamed males, 1 female and one juvenile voluntarily came out of the home.

Fort Wayne police are still investigating.
