I-69 Renumbering Nearing Completion

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - IN-DOT crews have almost completed the Fort Wayne portion of the I-69 re-numbering.

Crews already completed placing new signs on southbound lanes and they're now working their way north.

As of noon, Tuesday, crews were working near Lima Road.

They expect to be all the way to the Michigan line in just over two-weeks.

Officials say it's been a fairly smooth process with mostly positive feedback from the public.

INDOT has been in contact with GPS companies who say most will change their software but some users will have to make the changes themselves.
