FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Indiana Department of Transportation Fort Wayne District announced that $11.7 million in Federal Highway Administration funding will be distributed to 18 local projects.
The majority of the funds will go to recipients who have projects already established, giving them the opportunity to complete their projects.
Also, with these funds, local groups partnered with Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind., and INDOT to build and improve Indiana’s infrastructure. The local groups obtained the funds after giving presentations. The final decision was made by INDOT’s Local Public Agency Project Selection Committee.
Fort Wayne District Deputy Commissioner Todd Johnson said, “INDOT is pleased to continue to work with our local partners to see that a number of their priority projects are funded and built.”
The award letters have been sent and a complete posting will be available after July 9 on the state’s website http://www.in.gov/indot/div/projects/LPASection/
