INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) -- Deregulation of real estate brokers, home inspectors and beauty culture professionals among others is being considered by Indiana lawmakers.
Senate Bill 520 calls for the creation of the Eliminate, Reduce and Streamline Employee Regulation Committee (ERASER) to make decisions on industries that could potentially not need to require licenses.
Professionals in the beauty industry told reporters that deregulating their services would have disastrous consequences for their clients. Beauty schools would also take a hit if beauticians didn't need training.
