Indianapolis Murder Suspect Found At Fort Wayne Liquor Store (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department has detained a man wanted in an Indianapolis murder investigation.

Mark Anthony Tyson Jr., 31, was detained shortly after 11:30 p.m. on May 22nd at the Belmont Beverage at 43808 South Anthony Blvd. The Gang and Violent Crimes Unit was notified by Indianapolis Metro Police that Tyson Jr. may be in the Fort Wayne area.

Detectives were able to locate a vehicle that matched the given description outside the liquor store on South Anthony Blvd. The vehicle left the store and police pulled it over. Tyson Jr. was in the front passenger seat. Police quickly detained him and took him into custody.

He is currently in Allen County Lock-Up awaiting transport to Indianapolis. He has been charged in a home invasion turned murder in Indianapolis earlier this year.
