FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Indiana First Lady, Karen Pence, will have her own office at the Statehouse.

The wife of Governor Mike Pence won't work far from his office. In fact, she'll be right down the hall.

Three rooms that were used as a transition office before Pence's inauguration will become offices for Mrs. Pence and her staff.

The first lady's office had been housed at the governor's residence in the past.

Administration spokeswoman Kara Brooks promises that Mrs. Pence plans to be an active first lady but will not have an advisory role where policy is concerned.
