Weatherman Jay Walker Dies At 74

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Long-time weatherman Jay Walker has died.

He would have turned 75 on Monday.

Jay was a fixture at Indiana’s NewsCenter, forecasting weather on 21Alive from 1976 to 2006. In recent years, he helped in the broadcast of the annual Three Rivers Festival Parade.

Jay was a beloved co-worker, known for his "Jayisms:" "spritzels" "leaky skies" and "snipe nights."

The calling for Walker, will be Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hockemeyer & Miller funeral home at 6131 St. Joe Road.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
