FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne Community School officials are making special accommodations for the 33 district buildings without air conditioning to make sure everyone keeps their cool in the classroom.

Students are allowed to bring water bottles to school and the dress code is relaxed.

But if you are thinking of keeping your child at home school officials discourage it, unless you are instructed by a doctor.

Officials say air conditioning was included in the systems building plan but the plan was defeated in a remonstrance.
