FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A Fort Wayne man jailed for attempted murder now has a bond set for $250,000.

According to the Journal Gazette, the decision to hold Trameil Jackson, 24, without bond was reversed. At last check, Jackson was still behind bars.

A bond hearing was held Monday, Mar 10, for Jackson, a man Fort Wayne police believe is responsible for a shooting that left two men hurt. During that hearing the police gang unit presented their case as to why they believe he needs to stay behind bars.

Trameil Jackson is charged with attempted murder in the February 11th shooting of DeAndrew Moore and DeVonte Jones on Decatur Rd.

Jackson denies any wrong-doing. The judge in the case was considering bail for him, a higher bail than is typical though. This is based on a recent, similar case.

The defense says Jackson should be released, but people with the Fort Wayne police gang unit say Jackson should stay where he is, behind bars.

Tramiel Jackson is the younger brother of Traneilous Jackson, who is serving a 60-year prison sentence for a 2012 drive-by shooting incident involving an ambulance.
