UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Kroger officials have announced a salmon recall at some of its locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

The contaminated product, Spence & Co. Smoked Salmon Trim in 8 oz packages, may contain Listeria Monocytogenes and, if eaten, could result in severe illness to those individuals who are pregnant or have a weakened immune system.

Customers are advised to throw the salmon away and contact the store for a refund.

The recall also includes King Soopers and City Market stores.

The Fort Wayne Kroger stores are reporting that the identified product is not a brand they carry locally.
