AUBURN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The company that now owns the former Kruse Auction Park is celebrating success with this year's classic car auction in Auburn.

Officials with "Auctions America" say attendance was good, with a 50-percent sales rate.

They're excited about the numbers, since they just bought the auction park and inherited the annual Labor Day weekend auction less than two months ago.

Total sales should come in around $13.3 million.

The auctions wrapped up on Sunday.

A couple of the big sales included a 1934 Duesenberg model JN Rollston convertible, which went for $970,000 and a 1932 model J, Durham-bodied Duesenberg sold for $1 million, the highest-priced vehicle at the auction.

Officials say the vehicle is headed to Toledo, Ohio but the buyer wants to remain anonymous.
