Local Volunteers Help Community, Paint Hydrants

Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A large group of volunteers did their part to help beautify the city Saturday afternoon.

Volunteers from four different local churches spent the afternoon re-painting fire hydrants around the city.

It was all part of Neighbor Link, a website where people in the community can post about various projects that need to be done, like mowing a lawn or painting a house. Then someone signs up as a "coach" and gathers volunteers to tackle the project.

Last year Neighbor Link had more than 1400 projects listed on their website, and 900 of them were completed by various organizations around town.
