Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Nearly 5,000 Hoosier women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
That's why the American Cancer Society is raising funds for breast cancer screenings, treatment, and research through its annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Northeast Indiana."
Thursday morning more than 200 men and women filled Ceruti's for the event's kick-off breakfast emceed by our own Megan Trent.
Participants will soon be gearing up for the 5K walk at 9 a.m. on October 13th at Headwaters Park.
