INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (NBC33) -- A man in Indianapolis was arrested after police say he left two young children in a hot car.

WTHR reports that IMPD were called in to do a welfare check on two young children who had been left inside a vehicle on Lafayette Rd. Monday afternoon. Police found a 19-month-old and a 6-month-old inside a gray Nissan with the car shut off and the windows barely cracked.

Lamont Allen, 24, was arrested on charges of child neglect. The two young children were his siblings.

Both of the children were checked by medics and returned to their father.
