FREMONT, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A Dayton man has been arrested for class D felony theft Sunday.
Police responded to theft report at a Coach Retail store in Fremont Sunday evening. Store employees provided a description of the suspect and vehicles. The Ashley Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description in the parking lot of Ashley Deli.
A search warrant was obtained and while investigating the vehicles, police found numerous purses and clothing items worth approximately $9,000. The majority of the items still had security devices attached.
Darrell L. Allen, 19, was arrested for class D felony theft. Through the investigation, police determined that some of the items located in the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day from a store in Battlecreek Michigan. Additional charges may be filed in Michigan.
