KOSCIUSKO COUNTY Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A man from Columbia City is behind bars after allegedly fondling a 3-year-old girl.
According to the Sheriff's Department, Zachery Walsh accompanied his sister to a family friend's home Monday. The family friend allowed Walsh to watch her 3- and 4-year-old daughters while she and his sister went to Warsaw for hair supplies.
When the mother returned she discovered that her 3-year-old had apparently been inappropriately touched in the genital area by Walsh.
Kosciusko county Sheriff's deputies responded to the residence around 11:30 p.m. and interviewed the child who described the the fondling act that she said occurred in a bedroom without her 4-year-old sister present. Walsh was taken to the Sheriff's Office where he allegedly confessed to the act.
Walsh has been preliminarily charged with child molesting, fondling or touching a child under the age of 14. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
