NEW HAVEN, Ind. (21Alive) -- A man is dead this morning after he crashed his car near New Haven.

The single-car crash happened just after 10:30 Sunday Night. Allen County Police say the man was involved in a domestic dispute and hopped into a car to chase his wife and stepdaughter in a separate vehicle on Paulding Road.

He crashed at Paulding and Minnich near I-469. Police believed speed played a factor in the crash.

The Allen County Coroner identified the victim as 54-year-old George Collins of Fort Wayne. The cause of death was ruled as blunt force trauma from being ejected from his vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt.
